​Happy National Crayon Day!  Not an official holiday, but March 31st celebrates the invention of crayons and the colors they bring to the world.

​National Doctors Day honors doctors and their dedication to health and wellness.  Thank you today, and every day, for the work you do.

"Beware the Ides of March,"is a line in Shakespeare's play, Julius Caesar.  It is said by a soothsayer to warn Caesar of his impending betrayal and death.

The ides meant the middle of the month in the ancient Roman calendar.  It fell on the 15th in March, May, July, and October.  The ides fell on the 13th in the remaining months of the year.

Throughout history, there have been enough occurrences on the 15th of March to give this month's Ides a reputation of being an omen of bad luck.
